Mark O’Brien joined Plastiras Lawyers in 2017 and is a Consultant with the Property and Estate Planning teams. Mark has over 40 years of legal experience, acquired by practising at large and boutique firms, including with his own start up, O’Briens Lawyers.
With his extensive experience, Mark has acted for ASX-listed companies, large private companies and SMEs, as well as property investors including shopping centre owners and landlords of commercial and retail property.
Mark advises across a range of commercial matters including contracts for sales, mergers and acquisitions of corporations, business documents including employee incentive agreements and corporate structuring. He has also advised on corporate contract disputes and conducted numerous dispute mediations.
Along with his commercial expertise, Mark has advised on the acquisition and sale of commercial property including shopping centres, industrial and retail properties, as well as acting for commercial landlords to prepare and negotiate leases with business owners.
Mark also provides estate planning and asset protection advice, including business succession planning, self-managed superannuation and trust funds, along with wills, powers of attorney and estate administration.
